Details
There are numerous ways to explore Southern California’s rich history at the Homestead Museum. In addition to a variety of special events and programs offered throughout the year, free guided tours are available Wednesday through Sunday.
People are often amazed to find this six-acre historical treasure nestled among the busy streets of the City of Industry. Called "one of California's true historic treasures" by the Smithsonian Institution, the Homestead Museum provides a unique way to look at Southern California’s history from the 1840s, when this land was still part of Mexico, through the 1920s, when Los Angeles came to be known world-wide as a major metropolitan city. Through all of its programs, the museum strives to better understand the past and people’s ability to shape history.
Museum Hours
The only way to visit the museum's historic houses is on a guided tour. Guided tours are offered Wednesday through Sunday at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 p.m.
